Tiny Riot Project

An elaborate stopmotion short featuring a riot squad of corporate mascots from Saturday morning cartoon commercials in a violent standoff with some adorable anarchists. This project began as a music video for Toronto band Uncut, and was featured on Pitchfork. Lefcoe then created a sound-designed version in collaboration with Guy Maddin’s foley artists, which ended up installed in a string of notable art fairs and galleries, including Galerie Tomas Schulte Berlin, Art Basel Miami, and the Havana Biennale. The film premiered at International Film Festival Rotterdam, then sold to The Sundance Channel.
